Robert Cederstrom
The Reverend Robert Thomas Cederstrom, Sr. affectionately known as Pastor Bob has been serving our congregation since December 2009. Pastor Bob attended the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and holds a Masters' of Divinity from New York Theological Seminary in NYC. He also holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Special Education from Brooklyn College and an Associates of Arts Degree from the College of Staten Island. He is a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School. Before joining us, Pastor Bob served as the Vicar at Christ Lutheran Church in East Northport and at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Babylon. He also served a chaplaincy internship at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. Pastor Bob has been serving as the Associate Pastor at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in East Northport since 2007. He is currently the Dean of the Western Nassau Conference and is serving as the Coverage Pastor at New Hope Lutheran Church, Valley Stream and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, New Hyde Park during their respective pastoral vacancies. He previously served as Coverage Pastor of Ascension Lutheran Church in Franklin Square, Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Mineola and Christ Lutheran Church in Floral Park. Pastor Bob is currently serving as the President of the Long Island Lutheran Basketball League. Pastor Bob feels blessed to serve God and all of God's people. Before answering God's Call to ministry of Word and Sacrament, Pastor Bob taught Middle School in Brooklyn and was an adjunct professor at Kingsborough College in Brooklyn for 25 years. Pastor Bob served in the United States Navy and is a decorated Vietnam Veteran.
