WELCOME TO LITTLE SPROUTS PRE-SCHOOL!

Looking for a safe environment in which your young child can learn?  Here is the place.  Let your child " Come Grow With Us."

Two year old program - Tuesday/Thursday AM or Monday/Wednesday/Friday AM or a Monday-Friday class from 9:15-11:15.  It runs from October to May.  Parents/caregivers attend with the child for most of October then after a transitioning, stay in the class with teacher and assistant independently.  Children are introduced to use school tools correctly such as scissors, markers, crayons, paint brushes, etc. in a variety of activities.  Tactile activities such as playdough, fingerpainting, sand and water play are explored.  The day's events include storytime, project time, snack, movement/song activities and outdoor/playroom play.  Maximum enrollment for this class is 10 children.  Children need to at least wear pull-ups regarding toileting issues.  Parents will be called to return for a clean up of messy toileting problems.

Three year old program - Tuesday/Thursday, Monday/Wednesday/Friday or a combination of both for 5 days is offered in the AM (9-11:30) or PM (12:15-2:45) sessions.  A teacher and assistant run the room with a maximum of 15 children per class.  It runs from September-mid June.  Children learn to follow a routine of the day and improve independence skills such as taking care of belongings, putting on coat, setting and cleaning up table space, sharing and putting away toys, taking turns and following directions.  Curriculum includes colors, shapes, name recognition, number, animals, farm life, community helpers and seasons/holidays.

Four year old program - Monday-Friday AM (9:00-11:30), Monday/Wednesday/Friday PM (12:15-2:45) or Tuesday/Thursday PM or Monday-Friday PM classes are available.  Maximum class is 15 with a teacher and assistant. Independence, mastery of kindergarten readiness skills and development of self-control are stressed in this year.  Children work on printing skills, alphabet, math readiness, colors, shapes, rhyming, patterning reading comprehension and motor skills, etc. to develop necessary kindergarten skills.  Occasionally, children are assigned homework for continued review at home.  All classes utilize the playground or Epiphany room for group games and development of large motor skills.

* 3 & 4 year olds must be toilet trained, at least in pull-ups.  When appropriate and available, outside visitors such as police, dentists, fire fighters, etc. are invited to class.

Call 746-4889 to schedule a tour with director, Kathy Hesse.  Register quickly as it is first come, first serve.  Registration for each September-June school year begins in the preceeding January, and continues until all spots are filled.
